Day 01: Surabaya → Hotel in Ijen
Begin your journey when we pick you up in the city of Surabaya — either from the airport or your chosen location — and set off toward the Ijen region. Enjoy the landscape as you drive through eastern Java’s countryside, passing coffee plantations, small villages and scenic highways.
On arrival at your hotel near the Ijen Crater area, check in, settle into your room, and take some time to rest or stroll around the local village at your leisure. Dinner is on your own, followed by an early night as you prepare for tomorrow’s early start.
Day 02: Ijen Tour → Hotel in Bromo
In the early hours you depart toward Kawah Ijen (Ijen Crater). Arrive at the basecamp around midnight or early morning, and set out on a guided hike to the rim of the crater. Here you may witness the rare phenomenon of “blue fire” from burning sulfur gas, and see the turquoise acid-lake rim at sunrise.
After descending, enjoy breakfast and then check out from the Ijen-area hotel. You’ll then drive onward to the region of Mount Bromo, arriving in the afternoon. Day 03: Bromo Tour → Tumpak Sewu Homestay
Wake early for the iconic Bromo sunrise experience. Depart around 2:30–3:00 am in a 4WD jeep to the viewpoint (such as Penanjakan or Kingkong Hill) to witness the dawn spreading across the Bromo caldera, with its sea of sand, volcanic landscape and distant peaks.
After sunrise, trek or ride down into the Bromo crater area, explore the sea of sand, skip steps up the crater rim, and visit the temple at Luhur Poten. Return to your hotel for breakfast and check out. Mid-morning you depart toward the spectacular Tumpak Sewu Waterfall.
